Heritage Action Supports PA Legislators’ Push to Enact Voter ID Requirement

WASHINGTON — Today, Heritage Action, a national conservative grassroots organization, released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson in response to Pennsylvania Gov. Wolf's plans to veto a bill to create a mandatory voter ID requirement:

“Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf will likely veto a bill to create a mandatory voter ID requirement. This is nothing more than a partisan attack on election security. Voter ID requirements are a common-sense first step to protecting our elections. They are supported by 74% of Pennsylvania voters. With this veto, Governor Wolf is destroying election integrity against the will of Pennsylvanians, and the legislature is right to pursue an amendment to institute a mandatory voter ID requirement, a basic election safeguard."
